  • Over the course of his career, Mr. Jain has led multiple public offerings for equity and debt, and has provided strategic advice to large as well as small corporations, with respect to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and spin-offs.

An entrepreneur and practicing physician, Govind’s mission is to transform the healthcare industry by creating an integrated platform for clinicians, scientists and the pharmaceutical industry. He identifies and invests in companies that change medicine by bringing novel drugs, technologies and devices to market. Govind has the medical background to create value for companies from the earliest stage through to clinical trials and regulatory approval. He began his career as a practising Neurologist with a special interest in inflammatory neurological conditions.

Govind earned his medical degree from the Baroda Medical college and has a research degree in neuroimmunology from the University of Glasgow.

  • Dr. Sowani is the Head of Neurology Department for Zydus Hospitals. Previously, he was the Director of the Department of Neurosciences, SAL Hospitals & Medical Institute from 2001 to 2017. SAL is a 250-bed multispecialty hospital with dedicated neurological ICU & neurology wards managed by team of three neurophysicians and three neurosurgeons. Prior to that, he was the Consultant Neurologist for Rajasthan Hospitals in Ahmedabad from 1987 to 2001.

  • Ismail Kola holds a Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
  • He is the ex-Chief Scientific Officer of UCB.
  • He joined UCB from Schering Plough Corporation where he was Senior Vice President, Discovery Research and Early Clinical Research & Experimental Medicine, Schering-Plough Research Institute, the pharmaceutical research arm of Schering-Plough Corporation, and Chief Scientific Officer, Schering Plough Corporation.
  • Ismail came to Schering-Plough from Merck, where he was Senior Vice President Basic Research and Site Head, Rahway, Montreal and Madrid. He also chaired Merck's Antibacterial and Antifungal Worldwide Business Strategy Team. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Research, and Global Head, Genomics Science and Biotechnology, with Pharmacia Corporation. Prior to his move to Industry, Ismail was Professor of Human Molecular Genetics, Monash University Medical School and Director of the Research Center for Functional Genomics and Human Disease. He was at Monash for approximately 15 years.
  • He holds Adjunct Professorships of Medicine at Washington University, St Louis, Missouri, USA, and Monash University Medical School, Melbourne, Australia; a Foreign Adjunct Professorship at The Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden; and is a William Pitt Fellow at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, UK.   • Mark has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, encompassing operations, commercialization and consulting. He has executed numerous M&A, financing and strategic partnership transactions (from both sides of the fence), for a broad array of middle market and emerging growth companies in technology, life sciences and healthcare services. He has a passion for new technology, new “stuff” generally and all things creative.
  • Mark has deep commercial experience working on large, global pharmaceutical, life science and consumer packaged good brands. He has developed successful commercialization strategies and programs from early-stage and market development, to product launch and late-stage lifecycle management.
  • Mark began his career as a clinical Pharmacist after obtaining an honors degree in Pharmacy in the UK.

  • Mr. Rajiv Gulati is an Independent Consultant advising several PE firms such as Multiples, Capital Group, Samara etc. in making judicious investments in the Pharmaceutical sector. Rajiv is also a Mentor to mChemist.com, India’s first Mail Order Pharmacy and Essentium Phygen, a unique consumer health company.
  • Prior to this, Rajiv was President-Global Pharmaceuticals Business, for Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited, located at their Global Headquarters; from April 2011 to Nov 2014. Before joining Ranbaxy in April, 2011, he was Global Head of Anti-counterfeiting operations of Eli Lilly and Company, USA and has done pioneering work in helping fight the menace of fake medicines.
  • Rajiv has also been head of Emerging Market Strategy for Eli Lilly & Co., working at their Global Head Office at Indianapolis, USA.
  • Rajiv has been Chairman and Managing Director of Eli Lilly in India and several South Asian Countries
  • Mr. Gulati, is a well-known veteran with three decades of rich Pharma industry experience. He has completed his Masters in Pharmacy from IIT-Varanasi and MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad.
